The Spark is my first drone. A friend let me fly his Spark last week and I was hopelessly hooked. I have made a few flights with my Spark and can see that I have a lot to learn. This looks like a good place to learn.

Hello from the Mid-West, dirtroad.

Welcome to the Forum.

Welcome from central NC! Since this is your first drone, I will say that you do have a lot to learn. The Spark is a wonderful drone in that it mostly can fly itself but be aware that you may encounter connection problems at times where you will have to take full manual control of it. That being said, I would recommend that you buy yourself a cheap toy drone that is only flown manually and do a lot of practicing with it first. That way you will have the confidence and experience of manual control if you ever need it with your Spark. I have flown toy drones for nearly three years and I feel that if an emergency situation should happen with my new Spark that I will have a much better chance or getting it back safely. And get your friend to help you learn how to fly as well. Happy and safe flying! :D
