Pre-flight checklist

So I just got my spark, it’s a Christmas gift from the wife and kids, so I haven’t even cracked open the package yet. It has been suggested that I create a pre-flight checklist and follow it all the time. This sounds like great advice, however, as a newbie that has never had a drone or rc plane/helicopter...I have no idea what should be on the pre-flight checklist. I have done a search and have found one for a Mavic Pro. Does anyone have one for the Spark they would care to share?

My intentions are to make a checklist in the iPhone’s note app and just check off each item each time. I may use Wunderlist for this as well, and publish it as a public list and I would then share the link here.

Check you have it in beginner mode, and start in a large field.

I check these two Apps available in the app stores before flying.



Airmap shows all of the airspace in your area.

UAV Forcast is full of information in one place.

Things like satellite count and solar activity can affect your flight on the best looking days and not know it.
