53 yrs young and just got spark for birthday! As I am figuring things out something has me perplexed. Every time I try to record a video, it stops recording after about 1 minute. The SD card is big enough, could it be an incompatible card?

Check the rating on the SD card, the Spark Manual will show the minimum requirement.

I advise you to read the manual fully, your new toy can do lots of tricks. Most of which are very useful, but can catch a new owner by surprise.

Are you looking at video footage by removing SD card and inserting in computer or just viewing inside the DJI Go app?
A) If your video within the app is cut off you can fix by increasing the memory cache size in Settings.
B) If you are actually removing card and video is short I'd try different card. Most reliable results without U3 rating.
