There're videos on YouTube where shows the same problem flying in dense mist... Certainly, DJI must include an option to disable sensors and let control it fully manual.

I fly usually spark with Mi Max 2, and without any problem. I'm sure you'll get the same with Mi Max 3. The screen is almost the same, and ther're situations under direct sun that it hasn't enough brightness, but usally is more than ok.

The sensors of the Spark are not designed to fly in clouds, your bird may enter in landing mode and even if you activate sport mode it will be still in landing mode... If the Spark is it's very high it's probably that you get out of battery and it finall falls. It's not a supposition, you can...

You can search for slow motion videos on YouTube where you see that the dron suffers stronger vibrations when you leave the props closed than when you open them. It's better to open manually the propellers.

If you live in US and if you use iPhone, then you get almost the better config to fly with RC in DJI, but if you live in EU and you use android, then you get the worst config possible... Disconnects at 30 meters, and worst even, flyaways... How to bipass it?, Well buy an iPhone is a begin, but...
