Zenmuse XT2 optimal settings?

Hi fellow drone enthusiasts!
I have a DJI Matrice 210 RTK unit with a Zenmuse XT2 camera.
i did a few tests last week with some flares as a mock 'hot spot' analysis and identified a few isotherms that stood out to me - namely Blackhot, Icefire, MidRange WH, MidRange BH. Which do you prefer for your own analysis?
I spent a lot of time setting a custom temperature range for the flare itself, in order to eliminate some of the midday ambient heat on the ground. Which got me thinking, are there any optimal settings out there for certain times of day, or for better spotting hotspots with clarity?
