Weak video signal

Got spark yesterday.

Updated firmware to latest.

iPhone 7 & spark remote

when the drone is within a few meters of me I continually get "weak transmission signal warning"
plus break up of image to no image.

Middle of nowhere so won't be interference.

The signal bar on the display shows strong and its using 5.8ghz band.

Seems to get better when going further away.

any ideas ?

Also how do you change the band to 2 ghz one ?

I experienced exactly the same after update to the new 4.1.18 Android version.
I was about 20 meters when I saw weak transmission signal warning and suddenly remote control and mobile lost connectivity and started RTH.
Spark is a great device, but no for those who are living in Europe.
Don't worse pay all this money for a drone that can't be flown just 30 mts far away.
It's getting worse...

Make sure your RC antennae are folded up to the sky, not pointed forward.

They are correctly aligned.

I would almost say the signal is overloading but it says weak and the picture disappears a lot when close by.

Make sure you close any apps running in the background on iPhone. Video processing is done on the iPhone, not in the Spark. If you got other apps running it will slow down the video processing.

Try turn off your Bluetooth too. That interferes on some phones.
Chanel 1 to 13 are 2.4 on CE
Chanel 1 to 11 are 2.4 on FCC (long range mod for UK)
