Orange light under the top cover

I have noticed that there is an orange light under the cover of the spark.i have s couple questions about it
1 what is it for ?
2 what happens if it is not on anymore and how to turn it back on?

Most probably just a red LED on the main board with no special meaning apart the Spark is turned on.

Maybe it's the dash lights for the pilot?

My mother was told as a small child that the vacuum tubes in the radio glowed so that the people inside could see the sheet music and play the music.
