Agreed...my 9.7" was $100 cheaper..

I use a 9.7" iPad with a Pgytech tablet mount for spark RC, both the mini and the 9.7" will do the same job, just depends how big a screen you prefer...for me bigger is better.

Yes I read that "fact" as well when I first got my Spark...still waiting for the OTG support.

If you actually have a think about why DJI wouldn't support OTG for the Spark instead of ranting on about adding value...it makes perfect sense from a marketing point of view...each model has something another model does not, if you want something another model has that yours doesn't....guess...

When my Go4 app crashes on Android, I still have full control of the Spark via the RC, I just let Sparkie hover while I restart the app....

Buy the remote...I wouldn't dare fly my Spark with phone only, especially via Android...I have an iPad and an Android phone and the Go4 on Android crashes everytime I fly.

They should offer two versions of the Spark one for wifi to fly with your phone and one using OTG for an RC...

I don't find it a problem cause I'm flying with the RC and with in VLOS...(visual line of site)

I have no issues with distance using wifi on either device...just yesterday I got 600mtrs with both iOS and Android

Hello there, if anyone's interested, I use both Android (Nexus 6) and IOS (9.7"lpad) to fly my spark, both my devices are dedicated to fly spark only therefore no other software installed, both work great on wifi (I don't ever use OTG), the only difference I have experienced is that the Go4 app...

Downgrade...how strange, mine works great on IOS and Android using wifi only...only difference being that the Android app crashes every time I fly, no big deal I just restart the app and all is good.

Go to YouTube type in Spark return to home...lots of videos available

Regarding RTH on your RC you press and hold for a few seconds until you hear beeping and the app tells you return to home has been activated
