OTG cable preventing RTH altitude change?

I think part of the issue is that I did search, and used YouTube videos. However, it seems that info is outdated when it said that using OTG cables was a positive. I was just instantly annoyed using WiFi from my iPhone X to the RC and getting laggy video when I got my spark a few weeks back...

    Just Another Irresponsible Drone Pilot

Quite frankly anything that would involve the safety of others should involve a test AND re-testing after X number of years. In the USA where I live, that SHOULD include drones in the same way we test for driving vehicles of any sort. Oh, and let's throw guns in there since we let anyone own...

For sure. I do think there should be some kind of drone-piloting test, even as an owner.

OTG cable preventing RTH altitude change?

Not sure why the vitriol in this thread? The OTG cable provides a much more stable video feed for me. Anyway, it’s clear there are some issues here with it. So much for YouTube videos extolling the virtue of using OTG cables...

OTG cable preventing RTH altitude change?

Hey all, For some reason when I use an OTG cable with my iPhone X to run DJI 4 app, I can't change the RTH altitude. I enter 100m, and then hit the X, and it's not saved. However, when I use WiFi, it's set to 100m correctly. Is there some issue with using the OTG cable and making these...

    Flying indoors: Don't do it.

Why, exactly, are we getting into this debate in this thread? Did I ever claim to be a drone pilot?

    Flying indoors: Don't do it.

I got a Mavic and a Spark the same week. Never flown a drone before. Have only had one incident and that was because DJI told me flying indoors is totally fine with prop guards. Also, I don't see anything on DJI's site about not buying a DJI quad if we've never flown before.

    Flying indoors: Don't do it.

If DJI wanted to give me an ATTI toggle so I could practice, I’d take full responsibility. But there’s no way, so I’ll stick with my being at around 85% responsible. :) What happens when the drone switches between GPS and ATTI inside a house?

    Flying indoors: Don't do it.

Yes. I got the same which is why I attempted it. Never again.

    Flying indoors: Don't do it.

I have to admit... I'm frustrated. I got my Spark a week-or-so ago, and have flown it a few times outside without issue. I was nervous to fly inside because ATTI-flying is scary based on what I'd read. I like to do as much research as I can, you see. However, I just got this delightful email...
