    DJI Assistant 2 V1.1.6

Getting ready to go on a trip and thought I'd make sure my firmware was up to date :( 'dji assistant 2 cannot load firmware list' Does this mean I'm grounded? I haven't flown in 2 months with the weather we've had.

First kinda decent photo using my Spark

Thanks to all for the kind words. I didn't use a filter. I did process the .jpg in Photoshop....increased saturation/decreased highlights....that's about it. Sadly I've not take the Spark out of its box in months....just winters where I live suck.

Trump signs bill reinstating the FAA’s drone registration requirement

Site is up. I"m legal and minus 5 bucks. Registration didn't say annually so that's a good thing. We have a small label printer and the FAA number is now affixed in the battery compartment of the Spark.

Trump signs bill reinstating the FAA’s drone registration requirement

Am I going to the wrong place to register : UAS Registration I've tried for two days and it is down. Am I correct in believing that if I fly today in my backyard I'm flying illegally ??? Non-commercial backyard hobbyist goes to jail after flying his Spark in the backyard :(

Trump signs bill reinstating the FAA’s drone registration requirement

Typical government. I tried, got this- Federal Aviation Administration Down for Maintenance The Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) Registration Service is currently down for maintenance and should be back in service in a few minutes.

    Spark is worth?

I'm a big noob in all of this but I have some observations. In good light video quality is great for the size sensor we're dealing with. Fly-aways ATTI mode can be alleviated with proper ground work=calibration, lots of sat's registered, avoiding large metallic objects nearby, etc. Huge part of...

Backyard small world via Spark and spherical photomode

Yeah a fad that will fade. I know a few photographers that love fish-eye shots. To me one fish-eye goes a long way. Same with 'tiny world' but I do like the overall effect, not necessarily in my backyard practice run but in some of the shots I've seen.

Backyard small world via Spark and spherical photomode

After copious amounts of vodka I thought I'd give sphere-pano a go. Behind the house and this time of morning very safe in case of a fly-away. Up to 100 feet, pano mode for the 46 images, then into Photoshop for the 'little world ' processing. Total time including launch/landing, moving images...

The new Sphere Mode is awesome!!

TXspark I love that image!!! Could you please share the step-by-step from capture to final image. I just did the firmware update and would really love to get this view of my neighborhood.

Help please. I must learn to learn from crashes.

I was using the Spark Controller and OTG cable. The photographer is my personal physician; I'd just sold him the Sony a99ii he was using and you're right that camera would float long ha! But in that scenario with the mountains so steep there is no way GPS would ever get many sat's :( The...

    I'm learning (a bit)

Thanks Lastrex and Sparkster. Lastrex....not a long exposure though, I extracted images from the vid then stacked. But it is really stable thats for sure. Sparkster I seriously thought mine was dead, but like the Energizer Bunny, it just keeps going. I've studied my crash, had a big droner...

JWA, yes, a seriously deep canyon...45 min's down a 45 degree slope swinging off limbs on the way down to the river. Now where is the log file. I hooked the Spark to my laptop, just need to know what to look for.

Help please. I must learn to learn from crashes.

The Spark is so cool I will replace it when this one flies off into never never land or if I simply kill it---neither of which I want to happen but life is life. Here is the crash vid. At 1:06 the Spark takes off on his own at high speed. I'd already finished shooting what I wanted and my next...
