UK 5.8 system jamming test happening.

Oh yeah there's a sensible idea, let's jam the radio waves so that the 3% of drones that have RTH failsafe on them fly back while the other 97% simply drop out the sky and crash into whatever they want it to avoid flying over by jamming th frequencies. So ******* dumb, do they really think your...

National trust and the Lake District... confused?

Don't bother asking the National Trust, they think they own the airspace above their properties right up until the stratosphere, I'm not sure how they enforce this to the likes of British Airways and other airlines who fly over their properties all the time, but I guess they do somehow...

Attack of the 'Drone Police' UK

U.K. Law revolves around whether there is "a reasonable expectation of privacy" where the subject is being photographed, it's complicated but in short in public there is no right to privacy, in private privacy depends on whether there is a unobstructed view from public property etc. Your...

Attack of the 'Drone Police' UK

You can pickup cheap keyfobs cams on eBay for a fiver, I have one that could be used for that, they're not much use otherwise but would be enough to pickup Joe idiot mouthing of.

Another drone incident closting an airport in England... Heathrow this time

Not anger, but frustration at Grayling and the Police who will eventually make it almost impossible to fly anywhere in the South East of England. I did a quick mock up of the new proposals and they make most of the South East a no fly zone because there are so many 'protected aerodromes'...

Another drone incident closting an airport in England... Heathrow this time

It was on the three o'clock news on heart fm, our local radio station. Political? Of course it's political, this guy is a ******* idiot, last week he organised a pretend "test" to prepare for lorry parks in Kent on an airfield that has been sold for housing which involved 80 lorries driving in...

Attack of the 'Drone Police' UK

I've taken to telling them that and using the other 'you are interfering with a flight and if you cause a crash the law will hold you responsible, not me' line, that usually sends them awalking but for those pig headed ones I usually ask if they have a phone, if they reply yes then I tell them...

Another drone incident closting an airport in England... Heathrow this time

Failing Grayling has been forced today to admit this 'military grade anti drone equipment' that either is or will be installed at all major airports does not, and never has existed. Let's not forget he previously said it was installed at Gatwick after the drone and Heathrow were really vocal...

Spark range test ...Fpvlr antenna vs stock with reflector

ATM I have cheap £3 DYS Cloverleafs on my controller, I'm not overly interested in distance, just good reception, i went out a k over the sea last week without a glitch, this was after installing one of these long range kits and finding them useless.

FAA clarifies Local versus Federal drone regulations in statement

You don't need to do that, just grab the spark while it hovers in front of you and turn it sideways, the props will turn off automatically. I like the thinking here, but generally that's the kind of questions that will get you into trouble anyway, a fire officer came round yesterday and...

FAA clarifies Local versus Federal drone regulations in statement

Haha, we've all been told to do the same thing in the UK for model aeroplane and helicopter flying, we've been given an exemption from the new laws that come into force on Monday, but we've been advised to print off the paperwork and carry it with us at all times because most police haven't got...

    buying a used spark

I was about to say if you didn't want to be traceable (maybe you are flying out of line of sight) then use the DJIGo4 Mod app from the forum here and avoid the whole 'register with DJI and sell your soul to the devil' scenario completely, but then I realised you guys have to put your FAA...

    Litchi Limitation

Litchi, I was wondering if it's an account login type authentication or whether it's tied to the device when downloaded via play, I assume you don't have to login then at any stage?

    Litchi Limitation

Wow thanks for the answers, a couple more, does the software change the ac into ce wifi mode, or does it just ignore that setting? And can you side load the app onto a phone? My phone doesn't have google play on it, so even though I'd happily pay for the software, I'd need to side load it.
