Just put in a request to fly within 5 miles of the air force base (the park is about .1 miles inside the 5 mile radius). The site says they can take up to 90 days to review the requests. Does anyone have any experience in how long they actually take to get back to you?

I'm a nervous flyer! I've read what I found on the FAA site (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) but wanted to know if there are local laws that I also need to pay attention to. If there are - where would I find them for the Atlanta, GA, USA area? If anyone has checklists, rule books or anything else...

I use a Spark and a Phantom - taking mostly pictures. My goal for the rest of this year is to find something interesting each week to snap!
