Just a little survey - many people here talk about preferring to hand launch their Spark. Do you that using the gesture mode and then switching out of that or do you do it somehow using the controller while also holding the Spark in your hand?

Right, I'm saying that after turning it on, when I hold the power button down it no longer beeps at 3, 6, and 9 seconds as before. And neither the RC, tablet or computer recognize the Spark, even when connected by cable.

Yes, it turns on, gets to the blinking yellow lights, etc. But when I hold the power button it no longer beeps. Yes, I've flown it for months with no problems until this all of a sudden. I use it one day, the next day it's like this... Yes, my three batteries are all the same.

Ok, I was unable to get Assistant to recognize the Spark and it continues to not show up on the computer even when linked by cable. I'm thinking someone is going to have to open the Spark up to fix something. Anyone have ideas of what I could do?

Hmm, interesting. It was my first time with Assistant, but I used to always download the photos and videos through a cable and never had a problem recognizing the Spark. But I'll give it a try.

Interesting. How did you do that if you weren't able to link to the Spark? I tried to do it by connecting directly to my computer with a cord and using DJI Assist, but the computer doesn't even see the Spark - never shows up...

Yeah, Spark always was well priced, but now it is amazingly cheap for everything it does.

I know someone (certainly not me ;) ) that has gone to 1300+ feet and never had a problem. After a couple hundred feet colors and strobes won't matter, just look at the numbers re: height and distance and the map. When in doubt, point the red triangle toward home and descend in sports mode.
