The Volvo Around the World race has onboard reporters on each boat and they all use drones. They're currently in the southern ocean heading towards Cape Horn and the reporters are flying in conditions that are tough. Winds speeds in the 30+ knots range and boat speeds in the high 20's. This footage show the Team Brunel boat nosediving and having it's boat speed checked dramatically! (starts at 9 second mark) Sadly, on March 26, Team Sun Hung Kai/Scallywag lost a sailor overboard. John Fisher was wearing safety gear but with the sea state and weather conditions, he was not recovered.
