evidently I'm headed to the repair shop.
Won a spark at the office christmas party. such a sweet pull!! Got the remote a few days later and started working my way through the quickshot section. Had a few successful shots, then tried the dronie. I was positive I was high enough off the ground to clear a ~45-ft tall tree that was 100 feet away from me, after all, was starting from my third floor balcony. Big Fail. It didn't gain enough elevation and as it was reversing, it hit the tree maybe 5 feet from the top. Cross winds might have been 10 miles per hour MAX. I'm thinking more like 6 or 7 as it was not blowing hard enough to move even the smallest tree branches at all. (winter, no leaves)
Was not on sport mode. Would that have affected climbing ability?
How much do you guys think it'll cost me it to repair 2 snapped arms? Just buy a new drone?
Watch your machine at all times. I was more focused on my shot than the possibility that it wouldn't fly as the program indicated.
