I discovered the problem with Spark flakiness upon takeoff. Firmware has some unreleased memory registers, and DJI4 cannot recover. I've loaded custom code, and all well. Litchi is fine also.

I do the complete opposite, and take off manually, but do use RTH...then take over and land manually....and, just for clarity, there is no "Auto Launch" anywhere. Not for nukes, bottle rockets, drones, water pistol coke bottle 'jets', water balloons, old Estes model rockets, or even a fire...

Please post your logs...my guess is you took off in a new location, and the Spark had compass interference. There is no way to speculate further without the flight logs.

Out flying yesterday before work and about 3 minutes into flight that was going real well the remote states ADDI more and my Spark goes crazy. Was flying in regular mode but after the change it went automatically to sport mode and proceeds to almost crash itself. Had a hard time controlling it...

So sorry to hear you lost your bird. I myself have never fully lost a drone. I thought my Mavic Pro was totally gone, and used my Spark to locate it (!).....in the end, I got the Mavic back, the good old fashioned way, walking all over, alerting people. You might want to look at other DJI...

She used the heat gun for the 1st time today, and she thought it was a great tool to both stretch the wrap, and the Sprak's surface so the wrap was tighter. But she also agreed it was much more than necessary. Her 2 favorite tools are needle tipped tweezers, and a razor knife with the blade...

It definitely works on other models. Yet another workflow problem in DJI's product lineup. ;-)
