I would personally recommend leaving the cache recording on.
I know its not good quality for editing..but at least you will have some video of the last flight..if it ever decided to do a fly away..could help you to find the drone.
the best drone/ camera/ fun toy/ is the one you have with you.
keep the spark with you all the time in a spark carry bag.
you will be surprised how often you fire it up.....if its not with you..the moments gone.

I also have a mavic pro , but the spark is the newer model, so it gets used the most at the moment,
mavic does everything well, including range, but i sort of like trying to improve the spark..if thats possible.
basically ..love em both.
I have done a test recently with these range extenders,
I am in Europe so our range is very limited here anyway...
on 5.8ghz no range extenders......1000 feet. to disconnection.
on 5.8ghz range extenders on......1300 feet. to disconnect.
so for close in stuff i keep them off,
for longer...
I do have to watch it a bit lately,
as the most recent three members of public to approach me have said.."get a life"..etc, "cant you take that somewhere else" , " grow up " etc...

The spark is small alright, but it doesnt stop dog walkers commenting abuse at me as i mind my own business flying in an area that the local police have suggested that i fly, some of the names I had to look up in a dictionary.
wow..great to know that gesture can be used with the controller on as a backup if it wont respond to my gestures.
if it gets stuck over 6 foot high at least i will be able to lower it with the controller.
