    Water Crash Success Story

So a few weeks ago I let my friend's sister fly my spark up at their cottage. Within 30 seconds of handing her the controller, I turned my back for like 10 seconds and she ended up flying it into some tree branches along the shoreline. It hit some leaves and immediately dropped (maybe 15 feet)...

    Spark in the winter

Flying with ease and safely are 2 different things I feel. Don't think I would enjoy my battery suddenly shutting down and my spark dropping back down like a rock...

    Spark in the winter

We're very quickly approaching winter here in Canada, and I was just curious if that means its time to shut down for a few months. We can easily have temperatures here -10 - -25 degrees, and I know that spark isn't speced for anything below 0. Does everyone just pack up their spark for the...

Map is not showing on the app.

**** thats unfortunate. I generally fly around the area of my cottage which definitely has no wifi networks anywhere close to me. If I cache my maps back at home, does that mean my phone nor the app can restart or else I will lose the cached maps?

Map is not showing on the app.

Where exactly is this located? I found the menu you are talking about but there is nothing about offline maps. The options I see are - scan QR code, academy, flight records, GEO zones, and find my drone

    Spark: WiFi Technology?

In about half the amount of flights I've never achieved past 600M...2Km is a load of horse ****. Maybe if you're flying in the middle of the desert where there is literally 0 interference, and its flat land as far as the eye can see, you can achieve some decent distance, but anywhere with trees...

    Spark distance

I will try to format it tonight using the spark (I tried with my computer but that didn't work). I'll also try and go up way higher than previous and see if my range gets better. Thanks for the tips.

    Spark distance

That makes sense, and I'll try that, generally speaking I was flying around the 40-50M height (which is about 15-20m higher than the tree line). The water wasn't rough at all, the boat was obviously still drifting slightly since we weren't anchored but not enough that it should have glitched out...

    Spark distance

So I have a couple of observations after this past weekend flying my spark around. Firstly, can someone confirm whether or not I actually bought an OTG cable? This is what I purchased - https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0755FLPH4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The reason I ask is...

    OTG cable hookup to remote

How do you check that? I bought a cable almost identical looking off Amazon and now I'm second guessing myself.

    ATTI mode Spark question.

I could be wrong, but as far as I know ATTI means no GPS meaning the drone technically has no idea where it is in the world, and thus can't return home

    Spark distance

Yup! My gps is perfectly accurate to where it should be. I have tested with OTG but not extensively as I live in the middle of the city back home and don't like sending my spark out far. However, first day I got the cable I did a quick test with OTG and got out to roughly the same 200-250m...

    Spark distance

There were 2 other people with me who both owned iPhones had probably would have had their wifi/BT turned on. However I usually fly down close to my lake, and their phones would have been inside roughly 25-50M away. I'm kind of still confused about this CE mode and 5.8 vs 2.4...people on here...

    Spark distance

Ya, when I initially opened the wifi settings I was in that window for quite some time playing around and most of them remained red. Nope, no wifi at my cottage, and there's no other cottages around me that have wifi either (as far as I'm aware).
