Thats exactly what happens to me, but got to about 300m this morning with no signal warnings. :)

Its on auto but 5.8ghz probably. Im in the uk.

Just tested everything out this morning. Everything works as it should (even the histogram seems to be working again) Went through two batteries without a single signal warning and zero lag. Makes it so much easier and enjoyable to fly.

Yes Updated it today. All seems fine, as i said never tried it before with OTG but all the telemetry is present and the steam is lag free

Just tried the OTG for the first time, what a difference, absolute night and day. Can't wait to give it a good run out tomorrow. I'm in the UK us a Samsung S8.

I've messed about with editing for a few month's but im more into the photography side, i find it a lot more work editing videos! Glad i can help give you some ideas though

Oddly tried the spark again yesterday and the lag is back again. The only difference between last time is that i had a sd card in again. So now im wondering if the lag is linked to the sd card somehow?? Its a fast card though.

Have you tried turning off app optimisation? I did this last week on my S8 following the advice from another member. The lag is completely gone, its great now. Go to device maintenance>battery>unmonitored apps. Now add the DJI app to the list. This i assume lifts the restriction on the app...
