I didn't take any photos of the innards when I took apart the remotes. I believe it was 10k, it's been a while since and I just grabbed whatever I had in my toolbox.

When I opened mine, I used a torx (I think T6?) for all the screws. The 1.5 hex might still work on the Torx screws but for deeper ones like the ones next to the camera gimbal, it might not getting enough of a bite/torque.

So far so good. I row and I also paddle. It's a lot easier to land into the opening of my rowboat vs on top of the kayak. Keep in mind the chop and the wake from your kayak trying to come up next to it will cause it to drift away from you if you come in too fast at it.

I got a set of riser extended gears from Amazon - they clip on to the Spark. Cut 4 pieces of equal length pool noodle which I got from the dollar store. The pool noodles have holes in them so the legs of the extenders went into them with some Gorilla glue. All is well.

I just made my own this past weekend using pool noodle floats and a set of extended landing gears. Worked out great, no issues blocking sensors, etc. and just spent all day on the lake with the Spark. Maybe a decrease in flight time by a minute or two due to weight but that could be me...

Finally got around to playing with the Gesture mode. Seems like I'm only able to get a selfie done (with the finger frame) after sending the Spark away. I got it to work 100% this way. Never got it to do a selfie after palm take-off/follow hand mode. Does it not work on closeups, etc?

I have an unlocked iPhone which I use for traveling. My personal phone which is an Android with the older microUSB connection. And finally my work phone is a Note 8 which has the newer USB-C connector. You can imagine how much of a pain it is for me to transfer pics and files between the three...
