    Australian Bush Fire

From (almost exactly) the other side of the planet (The Netherlands) this disaster is difficult to comprehend. I can only hope Australia will recover and let's hope we can all do our best to prevent this from happening more often. I was wondering however: I noticed the leaves still attached to...

Jurassic Dark - Jurassic Coast, Devon, UK

This is an amazing shot in many ways. The scene screams dynamic range and that's something that the Spark jpeg output usually doesn't have. So to capture this shot and have enough information in the file to pull out the shadows and get detail in the highlights is almost a miracle.

    Foggy Sunrise

    Very nice!

Got my Sparky back from DJI... thumbs up for their after sales service

Good to hear something positive about customer support for a change. Reading the comments here you might get the impression that Spark customer support sucks.

Spark and what software for photogrammetry?

Very cool stuff! I have been thinking about doing something like that myself just for fun, but I haven't found the time (and the software) to do this. For your projects, you might want to consider using "Tripod" mode on the Spark: it allows for very slow, but very controllable and stable flights...

Spark and what software for photogrammetry?

Ah, interesting! I don't know why the amount of images needed would be less with a drone, but I could imagine using a drone would have other benifits as well: it could take high-up pictures of the dig-site which would otherwise only be available as output from Agisoft. Another issue that might...

Spark and what software for photogrammetry?

I am trying to understand (out of interest): you use Agisoft Metascan, which is software to create 3D models based on 2D images. Buying a Spark would only make sense to replace your current source of images (which is?). Why would you want to do that? Are the images you use now too expensive? If...

    AEB/HDR Panoramics

Lightroom does HDR panoramics more or less automatically. No control of the output though, but for people already using Lightroom this is the easiest solution. I must admit: never done this.

    No HDR

That's basically what I said with "it's a marketing decision" :). I understand and accept this. But it is sometimes agonizing to know that the camera is capable of producing high quality pictures, but that the onboard compression to JPG downgrades the picture

    No HDR

It would be an earth-shattering change if we could get RAW images from the Spark, but I think it is basically a marketing decision, not a technical one. The JPG compression makes it hard to do any exposure compensation and also hampers the creation of an HDR image. I own an older 40D which has...

    Henry Hudson Park

I know what I push-boat is, I live in the Netherlands and I think we basically invented this :). However,we use square barges and push boats with a flat bow. The push boat is affixed with ropes to the barge (see attached image). The system in your video has a barge with a "slot" for the push...

    No HDR

I have posted about this before, but it may be of help: There is no build-in HDR function in the Spark or it's software. There is an AEB function in the Spark that will take three pictures with -1, 0 and 1 exposure compensation. You could, as mentioned above, use software to create HDR images...

    Henry Hudson Park

Nice video. Funny: when you approached the boat I thought: "pushed"? how? But then it became clear this is some kind of integrated push boat system. Nice!

    Third party props?

Any improvement on noise? This is actually one of my biggest gripes about the Spark: it is so incredibly noisy. I don't mind when flying in remote areas but with people around i'm very consious about the sound.
