Sounds like you made an impulse buy like we all do from time to time. The spark was meant for quick photography and videography. Definitely sounds like you'd get a kick out of an FPV racing quad.

Palm take off and Land is the only way to go with the little Spark in my opinion. I do see the benefit of the finger guards but as long as you consciously think about the fact that your fingers could potentially be in danger when you're landing you'll be fine.

I see the spark as something I can pull out really quickly if I'm exploring/hiking and want to take some video real quick of something I find along the way. Im not using it to explore from the air and see what I find. I bought an extra battery along with a battery charging hub that I found used...
