    Video editing software..

If you have an IOS device, Lumafusion is a good choice. It's extremely feature rich and easy to use for being a mobile suite. It's $20 but totally worth it imo. I really love being able to go from shooting to finished post processed video without ever even having to disconnect from my drone (out...

Which filter do you use in a sunny hiking or ski day?

Actually one of my favorite spark YouTubers (Steve coutts) just put out a new video all about filters and the spark. Here's the link:

Which filter do you use in a sunny hiking or ski day?

Sorry I assumed you were talking about shooting video, not pictures. Everything I just said really only applies to videos. The whole double the frame rate thing is so that each frame has a small amount of blur to lead into the next frame and make everything seem smooth to the eye. But none of...

Which filter do you use in a sunny hiking or ski day?

Oh also, most filter sets for the spark only come with ND4, 8, 16 and sometimes a UV and CPL. kinda rare, although definitely not unheard of for a filter kit for the spark to come with a ND32. For whatever reason I usually see them sold separately

Which filter do you use in a sunny hiking or ski day?

I almost always use an ND16 on a bright sunny day. I've had one or 2 scenarios where a 32 would have been slightly better but for the most part the 16 and maybe the 8 on occasion are all you really need for the spark. Since the spark only shoots 30fps you want to use a filter to get your shutter...

Its going to be scorching hot - safe to fly?

Just a side note on that. Technically you don't need a phone at all to fly. Sync the spark and RC and your good to go. I wouldn't recommend that since you obviously won't have any Telemetry or anything, but at the same time it's always good to know in case your phone dies or shuts off (or...

    Flight plans?

How many of you create flight plans, especially before going in flying in a new area? Or flying with the intent on capturing a specific shot? I’m not talking about auto pilot or anything like that where you create a flight plan and your drone flies automatically, I’m more talking about looking...

    Tablet need to have GPS?

Ok so I kinda answered my own question. Without gps I can't use follow me (which spark doesn't have since it has active track???) And I can't reset home point to my position. Is this correct? Is there anything else?

    Tablet need to have GPS?

I'm looking at getting an iPad mini 4 to use with my spark tomorrow. The one I'm looking at is the wifi model (128gb) and if the info I've read it correct, that does not have GPS. only the LTE version does? So my question is, will the non GPS model work? Assuming so, what, if any functionality...

what is otg cable stand for?

    OTG == on the go

    OTG question

Oh, just noticed the comment about it only charging. You probably had it backwards. The micro USB end of the OTG cable plugs into the RC.

    OTG question

I have version 4.2.16 on a ZTE Zmax pro. I'm using an OTG cable (bought from Fry's) with no problems. Quite the opposite, it fixed all my lagging problems! Just gotta make sure you get the host and client sides of the cable right or it won't work

    Newbie here

I feel like I should elaborate. Not all hubsans have issues but they are known for having software issues especially while flying in gps mode. Although they fly great with no gps. Also the basic controller is crap. If you don't have the advanced controller (the one with external antenae) you'll...

    How high/far have you gone?

Like the title says, and over/controlling from what kind of terrain? I'm pretty new to drones and just kinda curious of people's experience with range, especially in areas with lots of natural obstructions, such as hills, trees etc. ( Ie. South King county, Washington) I just got my spark over...
