Hmmmm. The only moving parts of course are the motors, gimbal and internal fan. I suspect the motors will have a good life provided you keep any crap (sand, dirt, excess moisture) out of them. Similar with the gimbal motors. My own bet is that the internal fan will give up first. Good to listen...

I'm afraid I'm a bit of a miser: I use case (plane and controller) bought on EBay for AUS@$24 and throw then in an old backpack I bought for $9 a few years ago. No [problems so far. I have similar for the Mavic and flown international with it a few times.

In Australia the best I've got is 720m. That was over a river. Dropped out when I approached a housing estate. I noticed the transmission started on 5.8Ghz and automatically dropped to 2.4Ghz after about 300m. For comparison, the best range from my Mavic in similar conditions is 2700km.
