Whichever connection you have between your phone and the RC has nothing to do with flight range. The RC and Spark use a tweeked wifi signal that is entirely seperate from the phone/rc connection.

Thanks for this tip. Works well. Lag on my S8 was acceptable but annoying more than anything. This did the trick.

Same here. S8 and Spark, no issues at all so far in about 8 months. I have flown indoors also without trouble. Can't get OTG to work though. Airplane mode and location on.

Just updated to 4.1.22 and firmware .900 with no particular issues. Using Spark with RC. Initial connection procedure is a little different but immediate if you follow each step (I didn't the first time!) Haven't checked on range yet. Video has no more lag than with previous versions. Have OTG...
