Don Bomer

My story of getting into drones with a Spark is rather unusual. It all started in early 2016 when I watched a Shark Tank video about Beekeeping. I immediately began researching the subject and last year I installed my first hive. Unfortunately, many of my girls died before I got them into the hive and the rest eventually left for greener pastures. But, I had the "bug" and decided to get some woodworking equipment and build more hives for this year. After several months and a lot of money, I have a fine woodworking shop.
Then I remembered, I once saw a rather large black walnut tree on the back part of my 21 acres and went on several "safaris" to find it so I can mill some nice lumber for "other" projects. All I found was a lot of tiny broken cedar branches that ripped my arms all to Hell.:(
Early last fall, I saw an ad for an X5C-1 and decided that's the way to find the tree without bleeding to death. BUT, in my mind, the X5C-1 had a lot of limitations.
I eventually crossed off about 5 drones and decided on the Mavik Pro Platinum. I actually had the Platinum Fly-More in my shopping basket with many accessories, and I had my finger hovering over the keyboard. And then, common sense prevailed and I said to myself "Self, WHAT R U DOING?" Soooo, I researched for another week or so and bought the Spark Fly-More instead. Although I haven't flown it yet, I seriously doubt that I'll be disappointed.
I joined several Facebook groups and Forums and look forward to learning more from all of you. Thanks for being here and thanks to the creators for their efforts in producing this meeting place.
Warm Regards, Don...
