I'm with you op. Utterly useless in CE mode. But when In FC mode it's a great drone. I wouldn't buy another drone from DJIs that they have allowed to be worse in Europe than the USA. They have occusync so should use that if they aren't allowed to give wifi enough power to be useful.

They should have thought of something a bit better than what they did. CE range on the spark is pathetic.

I love the spark. But CE mode .... What a joke, and an insult to DJIs customers. I bet they didn't even know about that when they were designing it. I will never buy a drone that has a worse spec for Europe than the USA, again. In fact if I had known about it before I would never have...

Would love one but they are very expensive. Anyone one know of any way to charge a spark battery from my power bank while I'm flying with another battery? I just want to make use of my current power bank since I have it already. I don't really want to buy one of the expensive on the go...

Of course I can. The mavic Pro is fine. Use the same technology as you have in that. Problem solved.

I was using mod 2 and had no maps at all. Went back to the ordinary app and used the gps hack to get it into fcc mode instead. I find that works fine, but would love to be able to use the mod 2 app with maps working. It's such a pity you now have to hack DJI drones to make them any use at all...

The problem in some Android devices is that the picking send data through the phone instead of wifi if it has no internet connection on WiFi. The trick is to go into airplane mode before you connect to the rc. Then turn on WiFi when in airplane mode and connect to rc. Should work every time...

I'm only interested in a new drone that isn't effected in CE mode. Luckily you can hack the current spark to FCC mode but I bet you won't be able to do it with new drones. So DJI, go ahead and lose a huge percentage of your European market if you don't give them the same range as FCC customers.

They are nice. Do these interfere with GPS? I've read in several for a that wraps are the cause of flyaways.

How do you enabled fcc mode using mod 2? I'm seeing 13 2.4ghz channels. I thought there were only supposed to be 11 in fcc mode?

DJI , you need to respect your CE customers and not use that stupid wifi rc that gets severely limited range in Europe. At least with the current spark it can be hacked to fcc mode. If it couldn't you wouldn't be selling any of these in Europe now. Everyone knows about the awful European...

Are there not two versions of each app depending on the pixel count of your phone? That could have something to do with it
