Android phone recommendation - Huawei Mate 10 Pro (UK)

I've been using WiFi since upgrading the app killed OTG. I've found WiFi to be perfectly stable, and not one single crash. I found that a reflective range extender that fits on the controller antenna makes a massive difference to range. One thing to note is that the phone to controller...

Will the Mavic Air replace the Spark

Agree too. I ditched the Typhoon H because although it was fairly good my wife got fed up with it being such a burden on days out and holidays. I can get away with slipping the Spark into her rucksack (not a euphemism) with her camera gear... Even the Mavic Air might be too far for me as I hate...

Will the Mavic Air replace the Spark

Agreed. They'll phase out the Mavic Pro and either drop it completely as a product line or launch a Mavic Pro 2 at a higher price point.

Will the Mavic Air replace the Spark

Looks like the props themselves don't fold.

Will the Mavic Air replace the Spark

Nice pics. The other ones make it look more like a Spark, but these shots make it look more like a Mavic.

Will the Mavic Air replace the Spark

The photo of the poster has '21' in the bottom right corner. I think that'll be the flight time. If that's the case then it suggests this is intended to sit between the Spark and the Mavic in the product line up. My prediction is that the spark combo price will drop to £499 or £599, the Mavic...

DJI go app 4.1.18 on Android killed the OTG cable support!?!

I'm not convinced. This has been on their website for months. Other mobile devices is very non-committal. Could mean Crystal sky, goggles, or future DJI dedicated devices.

DJI go app 4.1.18 on Android killed the OTG cable support!?!

Probably only for their own accessories though.

DJI go app 4.1.18 on Android killed the OTG cable support!?!

I believe the removal of OTG was an intentional change to ensure there was enough differentiation between the Spark and their new drone, about to be announced on Tuesday. If rumours are to be believed, that will sit between the Spark and the Mavic. This new drone will likely use an OTG cable and...

Android phone recommendation - Huawei Mate 10 Pro (UK)

Having had issues with my Nexus 6p, I recently upgraded to the new Huawei Mate 10 Pro. Wanted to give it a recommendation as it has been unbelievably stable over about 20 flights. I've not had a single crash using Go 4, (4.1.15). It runs really smoothly as it has 6gb RAM, and has great peak...

    Spark Hard Case review (UK)

I just got a new Spark case that I'm really happy with, after ages looking for one that was a good balance of size and weight. This is the Tomcase Fly More Smart Case which I got from Amazon. New: Spark "Fly More Smart" Professional Carrying Case, Suitable For Carrying The Full DJI Spark...

DJI go app 4.1.18 on Android killed the OTG cable support!?!

It's via the Play store. Go into the Google Play store (rather than the app itself) and find the DJI GO 4 app main page. In the top right there should be the usual 3 dots menu. Open that and you should get a tick box to turn off auto update.

No GPS, and lots of N/A's throughout the app.

There are other threads about this. It's to do with the latest android app update 4.1.18 when using a cable We're waiting to see if dji will fix it.

DJI go app 4.1.18 on Android killed the OTG cable support!?!

You can't change anyway with the OTG cable. Should still be there for WiFi. However, with most android phones it is useless as once you change the rc/drone connection to 2.4ghz, the phone can't see the rc WiFi.
