Have you tried switching Bluetooth on and off and see if the drone comes up when your phone refreshes the wifi? Rebooted the phone?

There is no right answer here. I own both and I use them for different purposes. A couple reasons I like the Spark, in my case, is that the size makes it a piece of cake to take with. Another advantage for me is that the Spark is quieter for my neighborhood. I can take it out and fly it...

YouTube is your friend. I watched this video two or three times, playing with the Spark between. It's one of many excellent videos on setting up a Spark.
