That's for commercial/107 flights. Hobbyist just need to be able to see the position and orientation of the UAV.

You don't need strobes, but it's a good idea. You just need to be able to see the position and orientation of the UAV. The stock lighting on DJI drones will let you get pretty far out. Again. the more lighting the better IMO. :D

Just wrap around the led rings with electrical tape. There's a video on YT but I can't seem to find it...It's a quck, easy and cheap fix.

After you actually locate it, the REAL fun starts. This Easter I got my Spark stuck near the top of a tree (after more than 2 years of incident-free flying!). Search operations aren't easy with a drone like the Spark with its limited range, flight time, no zoom. Something like the Mavic 2 Zoom would be much more useful, but still a daunting task.

DJI's "official" recommendation is to replace the props every 200 flights. I think that's a little extreme, but I am very diligent about inspecting the entire prop surface and hub before each flight. If there's any nick, bend, chip, etc. they get replaced. They're cheap enough.

:cool: Pretty sure 99% of its effectiveness comes from the user being more cognizant of antenna direction with these things attached.
