I agree, that is a major deal breaker for me. I live in Europe, and fly the Spark in FCC mode. Having to fly in CE mode would really suck.

I suppose it depends on the individual needs of each pilot. You don't need OA, so it's not a downgrade for you. But as for the camera, for me personally, manual shutter, white balance, ISO is much more imporant than going from 1080 to 2.7k. or 3 axis instead of 2, etc. If I can get it all, sure...

Something like that happened to me last spring. I was at the beach, flying my Spark and taking some areal footage of a friend, about 150 meters away from the nearest building which is a beach café/restaurant, and about the same distance from any groups of people, so completely within the law...

Nice footage. The more I watch and make drone videos, the more I like low flying footage. Makes it much more interesting and cinematic than just flying high all time.
