Just a guess are you going into Sport from a hover? Mine works every time.

I would open it up and clean the various boards and connectors with Isopropyl alcohol. Letting it air dry will promote corrosion and bonding of what ever minerals are in the water. I do that with my RC Boats electronics that get wet from time to time. They usually come back to life.
