Poor range

I was flying away from everything in a cow pasture with a Spark remote. I could only get 250-280 feet away before total loss of signal. It's very disappointing. Is something wrong with my Spark or remote? I think my Tello can almost get that range.

Video feed froze then wifi weak warning then no controls. I was at least 3/4 of a mile away from the nearest home. I was able to walk forward a few feet and gain control to get it back to me.

No bluetooth. I wasn't really looking at the antenna. Car was not close to me. Just cows walking around

How high were you? The higher up, the better the vector and range will be. Also ensure your antenna are bent up and pointing perpendicular to the Spark.

I would try to fly in 2-3 different places, to see if range is everywhere the same (poor).

Before this, check if you are in FCC mode, as you should be.

In djigo4 app, open WiFi settings page. If you see 11 channels in 2.4 GHz band, you are in FCC mode.

If you see 13 channels, you are in CE mode.
