plug in mic

Hi all,
new to the group and new spark owner.

I have a question hoping that someone here can answer.
I know that you phone can record your voice during recording.
Can you use a lapel mic plugged into the audio jack for better audio?

Not sure if it would capture the audio or not, but my plantronics bt headset does, and sounds great by comparison. Pressed to guess, I'd have to say a wired headset/mic should do the trick, just like with a phone call. I'd try a basic one like most phones come with before making any investments though. For noisy environments, I go into bt settings and let the earbud catch media audio so it goes straight to my ear as well.
