OTG is fully working on the s8

Here in Brazil, only 4.2.8 too. I don't understand how DJI dowback to App version.
It's really a new version, or old version, but with functional OTG connection??
I'm confuse...

Nah... understand now, DJI changes it from .8 to .12 version typo.

Thanks will test and review it tomorrow!

I downloaded the app and installed it.
I have a otg cable.
Just a quick question: is the connection order important?
First phone then rc or the other way?
Thx

First phone, then RC...
Now you get a popup with apps that can use otg function.
Choose DJI GO 4 app and this app will launch itselves

When you see this message in lower left corner (which mean successful otg connection), it's time to power up your craft.

Just for clarification...My S8 Note shows a Android Version 8.0.0 and kernel is 4.4.78 so any issues with OTG on that version anyone know about?

My OTG procedure (DJI GO 4 4.2.12):
  1. Turn on Remote Control (RC). Wait for solid red.
  2. Plug in OTG cable in phone.
  3. Plug other end in RC.
  4. Choose DJI GO 4 app in popup window.
  5. Wait until GO 4 app is open and it says "RC Connected" in lower left corner.
  6. Power up your Spark. Try to place RC as close to Spark as possible. (DJI recommend 20 cm)
  7. Bonding between RC and Spark should take less than 30 sec.
  8. Hit GO FLY!
This is absolutely fail-safe method!

If for some reason you want to change channels, lower numbers is 2.4 GHz and higher numbers is 5.8 GHz.
In CE area 2.4 GHz channel is preferred.

To change between bands/channels:
  1. In Wifi section of settings, choose "Custom".
  2. Where it says Channel Index, tap one of the channels.
  3. Tap "Apply" at the bottom of the page.
  4. Power down your Spark (Air-craft)
  5. Power up your Spark again.
  6. Within 30 sec you will see new channel has been set.
This is also fail-safe method!

FLY SAFE!

You're good to go!
Get the correct cable, the adapter supplied with the phone will not work.

Use the first one, insert in Remote Control.
Use an ordinary usb cable between this cable an phone.
No need to order anything.

All my existing cables are 3 ft and longer these are 1 foot for the S8 Note which requires the S8 Connection

So sorry for the continuation of these questions but if that is the cable I need would not it replace the one I have (not the new ones I am ready to order) ?

Thanks
His recommendations is based on experience. Short as possible, but still comfortable length. Avoid extension cable if possible.
But a micro-usb otg plug and a 2 meter charging cable to your phone will still work.
