Japan range issues

Cannot get decent range in Japan. Have tried otg and every setting. Wifi channel is blank in app with spark. Tried 2 phones both android

there is another method to try. borrow a friend rc to try out your spark. it could be your controller (didn't work out. malfunction probably)

I am from Australia and had no range issues their although I have not sent it out past 700m yet but here I get only about 200 before it cuts and auto RTH

The farthest I have been able to go so far in Japan is 462m (~1516ft.), which I got in a very open field.
I usually try to stick to within 300m as the video feed and RC connection goes choppy beyond that.
In urban areas, even 200m seems difficult.
I am using OTG connection and an Android device.
Thoughts?

Try FCC mode. Outside US, Spark is very limited.
