Hello from Central Illinois (State of Confusion) USA!!!

Welcome to the Club! I too live in central Illinois and have friends that also fly DJI drones! Yes longer flight time would be a plus, but I also fly a Mavic Pro,and a Phantom 3 Pro 4K. So if I need longer flight time,I just use another drone.

DJI and the future of Spark software

Litchi is my "Go To App" for all my DJI drones! I find it way more reliable, plus the extra features!

    DIY Goggles

Are you guy's using the regular app,or Litchi? If I try to use my regular app,DJI or Litchi I would have to have a set over three feet long to bring the screen into focus! Using the Litchi app you can use "real" FPV vision (two screens) and it's a really realistic view.

    DIY Goggles

Why would you want to remove the lenses? That is how you bring them into focus, for your eyes? Unless you are flying in Regular mode? But even then my eyes are bad enough I wouldn't be able to see it clearly.

Apple, they are the Homido V2 Model! The front flips open for phone access!

    The Spark just rocks!

I have a Phanton 3 Pro, a Mavic Pro,a Parrot Bebop, and the Spark. The Spark is my " Go To" drone 99% of the time.

    DIY Goggles

I use Homido VR Goggles! The best I've ever used. I too have vision problems. They are fully adjustable for eye spacing, and focus. They work well with my 70 year old eyes.I paid 20.00 for them shipping included. Best money I ever spent!

Are you using a "Battery strap" to secure the battery?

I just use a # 64 rubber band! Cheap, works fine,(I guess) since I've never had a battery come loose while flying.

USB/OTG Cable, does it works or not ?

The only thing I would change in your start up sequence is, turn the controller on first, then the Spark. These fly using WiFi signals, so you never really know what's out there in your flying area. PS. I very seldom use a OTG cable with the Spark. It fly's fine without one!

Do Filters Really Make a Difference?

I don't use filters on the Spark, because of the limited camera settings. Keep the sun at your back and you can shoot some really clear video/pictures.

    Flying Around Cell Towers?

I do fly on 5.8ghz because I'm flying in a mostly in high WiFi usage areas. Infact,I fly in 5.8ghz all the time, even out in the country. I've found no diffrence in range using it, or 2.4ghz?

    Silicon Skins For Spark

I have a blue one! I removed it because of the weight. It weighs 16.7 grams, how much that effects the Sparks flight time,I don't know? It may be a plus for flying in colder weather, helping to keep the heat in the drone?

...and now back to our regular program...

    That is absolutely amazing video!

    Plough Day

You certainly got a lot of mileage out of a plowed field! You can remove the jerky movements in editing.
