    Spark+Portable Charging Station+Controller+Charging Station Bag=Perfection

You know it has a USB port on it to charge the remote, right?

    Connect RC controller for dummies

I'm not playing on words, I'm calling out the difference. "Works" means just that, "supported" means if something goes wrong while doing it that shouldn't have, DJI will investigate and cover any repairs needed under warranty.

    Connect RC controller for dummies

What you described is exactly a real possibility. If your drone decides to chase the moon and you never see it again and DJI sees you were using OTG in your logs, they can just point at that and say "user error / unsupported config". DJI has never supported OTG on Spark. As mentioned above -...

    Connect RC controller for dummies

To be clear: OTG "works" on iOS but is not and never has been supported by DJI for Spark. You're definitely on your own if you have a mishap and DJI blames it on you using an OTG cable.

    Connect RC controller for dummies

I power up my remote, then Spark, then connect iPad to remote WiFi, then open app.

    Another one bites the dust

Technically yes, but keeping in mind it’s tbe connection between the remote and the phone that’s touching the remote, if think that interference would have to be really substantial (strictly referring to OTG comm between remote and phone vs. WiFi for the same).

Anyone use a dedicated device with Spark?

Mini 2 and higher work and yes, they fit in the controller arms without an adapter in landscape. You may have to gently work it in with a bit of effort the first few times (some people have reported tighter controller arms than others). Once you do it a few times it gets easier and easier.

Anyone use a dedicated device with Spark?

I’ve heard from several people using the mini 3. It seems to work great with the Spark.

Anyone use a dedicated device with Spark?

You may have to unscrew one side of the grip pads on each arm to fit a case. Unless it’s REALLY slim

Anyone use a dedicated device with Spark?

For full disclosure I also have an iPad Air 2 but would never use it with the Spark since the mini is just such a great match for the Spark.

Anyone use a dedicated device with Spark?

I LOVE my mini 4 with the Spark. I like that it fits right in the controller without a bracket and don’t worry about balance issues with the tablet hovering over the controller or about the tablet blocking my view of the controls, etc. $299 is a pretty good price for what’s in my opinion the...

Just tried sport mode for the first time... HOLY !@#$!!

I could see sport mode being a contributing factor. Someone flying too fast zips behind some trees or obstructions that they may not have intended which causes a disconnect then combined with failing to set a proper RTH point as liftoff or a compass issue, the drone heads off to neverland. I...

Commercial Usage - What is and What isn't

The only thing I've heard in the U.S. that's at all similar is posting drone videos to a monetized YouTube channel because you are making money from ads that play on the videos so that could "technically" be considered commercial use. Otherwise, I can't see how anyone can interpret posting to...
