    Spark for 3d Land Mapping

I was using a free trial dronedeploy and loaded the images manually. How much use does the stitching solution rely on absolute coordinates rather than image matching? What would happen if you removed the coordinates from the EXIF or perhaps left just one or two photos with coords.

    Spark for 3d Land Mapping

Yes I am sure GCPs will make the matter worse. It will try and fit images with incorrect (or rather not accurate enough) coordinate data to control points that are accurate, therbye forcing them to fit in the wrong place. I flew a small area (my backyard and house) with no GCPs and got a...

    Drone Harmony for Waypont missions?

OTG works for me when using Litchi.

    Spark for 3d Land Mapping

I have not updated my firmware. I get the foloowing EXIF data. How does it compare to yours? 43 deg 13' 12.00" N, 0 deg 52' 47.00" E

    Spark for 3d Land Mapping

I was able to make a coloured contour map and 3D model flying Spark by eye and importing images to DroneDeploy but my month free trial ran out some time ago and they have just informed me that they have deleted my account because lack of use so I can't show it to you. I am not sure if DJI have...

    Spark for 3d Land Mapping

There is a discussion on the DJI Spark forum at the moment about this. It appears that coordinates are only stored to 4 dec places.

    3 Bridges, South Queensferry, Scotland

Thanks for the memories. I worked on the construction of the Hound Point Terminal which you can see just to the East of the three bridges ... except there were only two bridges then.

Litchi: mission to take a video from one fixed spot with a 360 look around?

Well it obviously worked. Yes it is a bit fast. Depends what you are hoping to achieve, I see you set camera to look outwards. I think inwards is better. You can set the gimbal angle using trignometry. You know your height to fly, you decide the angle you want therefore you can calculate the...

Litchi: mission to take a video from one fixed spot with a 360 look around?

Be nice to see any results you get. We are all learning here.

Litchi: mission to take a video from one fixed spot with a 360 look around?

I have just been testing this. What TM says above is correct. The minimum radius is 5 metres. I think you get better results with the camera set to point inwards (across the circle as it were) rather than outwards

    Sparky Goes to Sea

Very well done. That is an exceptional flight - and very brave. The tilted horizon was very interesting. Have you made the flight public on mission hub?

Litchi: mission to take a video from one fixed spot with a 360 look around?

If, in orbit mode, your gimbal control is set to auto when subject height is 0 then it will look down. If subject heght = altitude then it should point horizontally. If gimbal is set to manual you can set it at any angle. it depends what op wants to record. As a further point if repeatability...

Litchi: mission to take a video from one fixed spot with a 360 look around?

Hi AC I think your post needed a little clarification. You did not specify Orbit mode at the beginning. However you did say later on "Focusing on the poi, do an orbit around the poi. " from which you could infer orbit mode BUT I do not believe Bob wants to focus on the POI. I sense he wants to...

Litchi: mission to take a video from one fixed spot with a 360 look around?

Hi Hagg I think your command "rotate aircraft 360" will simply rotate the aircraft from its current direction TO a grid bearing of 360 degrees (i.e. North) Also, with the waypoint mode "rotate" function, I find the speed of rotation rather fast and not selectable. With the Orbit method you can...
