    Drone Shot With A Shotgun

A similar incident. There was a recent report of a “drone” in New Zealand, being knocked out of the sky by a stone. It happened in a national park, without a permit, it shouldn’t have been flying there. A group of hikers saw & targeted it. Causing an aircraft to crash is a federal offence. The...

Where to comment on the FAA’s proposed rule for Remote ID.

It’s not too late, you can submit a second comment if you believe that your original is invalid because one of your objections has been addressed after the proposal’s 1st draft. You can always choose to add your name to the Xjet petition. I will also add my name to a letter from the Penrith...

Where to comment on the FAA’s proposed rule for Remote ID.

There is a New Zealand guy, Bruce Simpson, who is encouraging people from around the world to submit comments to the FFA to try & stop the destruction of the RC aviation hobby in the USA. He also plans to send a petition type of letter with as many email signatures as possible on it. The Utube...

    Crystalsky, I pulled the trigger....

I’m guessing... Do the fpv glasses work similar to a head-up display? ie. The glasses give a view of the monitor, that is see-through.

Soon to be booted from DJI forum

I may have missed the bus. There is a shop called Dronezilla in the Sydney suburb of Lindfield. I have only purchased a few bits and pieces there, but I noticed that they repair dji products themselves. Just in case you have had enough of trying to deal with dji.

Flying Sparky off the edge of the Grand Canyon?

If the regulations are the same as Australia then GC is all national park, you can apply for a permit to fly in a national park, but you will need to choose a secluded area & dates, write an application, then hope for approval.

    “Drones are evil” commercial advertising

The trouble is this company isn’t moaning, they’re using BS to convince people to buy their products. The sales strategy is not new. Convince people that they have a problem (that doesn’t exist), then sell the solution.

    Drone sighting near Windsor Castle

The hobby is being punished for fake news, what will the consequences be with proven illegal behaviour?

    “Drones are evil” commercial advertising

The video was posted long before I purchased my spark, but I had never seen it before, & I believe there are many people that also have not seen it. With the mainstream media currently portraying “drones” as evil weapons of mass destruction, this advertisement is significant. Isn’t the purpose...

NFZ disappeared from my map !!?!

Temporary NFZ can turn up sometimes. It can be bushfires, control burns, or an aviation event. Aviation events includes air shows, military exercises, or a special RC club event. It is helpful to get an extra app that shows the NFZs with more details.

    80 year old flyer

I’m glad to see that there are some long time RC plane fliers enjoying this branch of the hobby. I see a lot of stories about the negative attitude towards dji products/pilots from the fixed wing establishment. I’m 55, enjoy flying my spark, own a never flown RC plane

I wonder if that’s the same inspire that had its maiden flight inside the garage? The pilot’s skill was very similar & the result was the same.

Drone Used to Find Missing Deaf Teenager

The “Drones are Evil” post is more about how Dedrone is portraying drones, to sell their products! Drones are saving lives, but Dedrone is not going to mention that. They want the public to be scared of drones & spend thousands of dollars to keep drones away.

    “Drones are evil” commercial advertising

Anyone who has flown a cinematic quad would know how much BS they are shoveling. The “fake bird” drones are unstable, & incapable of carrying any type of cargo or capturing sharp HD photos. Using a quad to photograph computer screens through the windows of an office building? You would have a...
